Top 5 Soccer Fields in Las Vegas, NV

Top 5 Soccer Fields in Las Vegas, NV

Mar 9th, 2022 - Soccer

Introduction

Although many might think that Las Vegas would be just a tourist attraction, the Las Vegas metropolitan area has active sports communities with a handful of professional sports teams as well. More specifically, for soccer, there are Las Vegas Lights FC plays in the USL Championship, and Las Vegas Legends which is one of the newest teams in NPSL. Visitors and residents have many options for a wide range of activities provided and available at local parks and facilities. We searched through locations close to the metropolitan area that are popular for playing soccer.

01. Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex

The Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex (a.k.a Kellogg Zaher Complex) is absolutely enormous; there are 11 soccer fields available. Tons of youth and amateur teams and pickup groups train, play, and compete at this complex. Many residents say that you must know of the Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex if you play soccer and live in Las Vegas. The fields are known to be well-maintained with lights. The fields are open weekdays from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturdays from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sundays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

02. Desert Breeze Soccer Complex

We’re starting to wonder why there are so many complexes with 10+, and 15+ pitches. Desert Breeze Soccer Complex has over 20 fields with goals and lighting. This complex is one of the larger outdoor soccer complexes available for personal and league use. On any given night during soccer league seasons, it is said that there will be a plethora of children and adults alike roaming the complex. One thing to note is that the entry and exit from this park area are from only one driveway, so it can be very crowded. The Desert Breeze Park hours are from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm every day.

03. Mountains Edge Regional Park

Mountain's Edge Regional Park is located in the southwest area of Las Vegas that has recently been growing a lot. For the park is fairly new, it’s clean and well maintained. One of ENDALGO groups, Las Vegas United - Pick Up Soccer Club plays at this park where there’s an area for futsal between the concrete walls (you’ll know what this means when you get to the park and the park has a large grass area for traditional soccer as well). Join their group for some weekday night futsal action. The park is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm everyday.

04. Las Vegas Indoor Soccer

The Las Vegas Indoor Soccer (LVIS) has been in the game for more than 15 years. They run their own adult and youth leagues and tournaments and also weekly pickup games. LVIS has 2 indoor soccer fields like the one shown in the photo above and 5 more outdoor fields in a similar size. Any of the fields are available for rental as well. The Las Vegas Indoor Soccer is open every day from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm.

05. Charlie Frias Park

Charlie Frias Park is conveniently located in central Las Vegas. The park has a huge grass area that it’s almost impossible to be too crowded; this allows many pickup groups to even play at the last minute without reserving the field. This park has a beautiful view of the strip, and many residents comment that they come to enjoy the view. We’ve seen different pickup groups play on weekday nights and weekend mornings. The Charlie Frias Park hours are from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm every day.

Conclusion

Popularity of soccer is heating up as much as the weather in Las Vegas recently. Although the city wasn’t selected to start a MLS franchise a couple of years ago, the rumors say they will be bidding again for a team to be started. We were surprised to see so many complexes with 15+, 20+ fields in the metropolitan area, and the fact that those locations were so close to each other expresses the popularity and love for the beautiful game in Las Vegas. ENDALGO will keep working with our Las Vegas groups, so explore the local soccer communities with the ENDALGO app for free.
