Top 3 Indoor Soccer Fields in Los Angeles, CA

Top 3 Indoor Soccer Fields in Los Angeles, CA

Nov 15th, 2022

1. Urban Soccer 5 Center

Urban Soccer 5 Center is big. Really, really big.

It has ten outdoor fields made with artificial turf, LED lighting, and a clubhouse that would put some FIFA teams to shame. Amenities include locker rooms, televisions, a sports cafe, a French-styled breakfast and lunch cafe, and free wifi.

Even better, the fields have HD cameras. Record and watch your plays — this unique feature makes Urban Soccer 5 Center something of a dream-come-true.

Urban Soccer 5 Center also offers futsal soccer leagues for adults and an ‘Academy’ soccer camp for youths.

What’s the Stance on Hosting Pickup Games (Adult or Youth)?

Urban Soccer 5 has enough fields to make hosting pickup games a breeze, and they don’t shy away from that. You can expect daily (yes, daily) pickup games starting at 6pm, seven days a week. Not bad!

Youth games are held from 6pm to 9pm, every day of the week.

What’s It Cost to Attend a Pickup Game? Where Can I Find Booking Information?

For the adult pickup games, it’s a flat $5 for each player. Couldn’t be easier!

Youth pickup games are divided into two groups:

  • Ages 8-10
  • Ages 11-14

Each youth pickup game costs $8 per player. For adults, consider signing up ahead of time with the Urban Soccer 5 Center MeetUp page here, or just show up in person. The games all start at 6pm, so get there a little early and get ready to play!

Are the games 5×5 or 7×7, or both?

All Urban Soccer 5 Center games are 5-a-side matches. With ten total fields, a well-equipped clubhouse, a sports cafe, and a soccer shop, there’s plenty of amenities to enjoy while your team of 5 gets ready for the match.

Are the Games Social or Competitive?

Daily pickup games? Definitely social. You can reserve your spot in the match ahead of time, but the vast majority of players just show up before 6pm and pick a match. With ten total fields, there’s never any fear about running out of space.

What Else (if anything) is Unique about these Pickup Games?

With both youth and adult pickup games on the table, there’s plenty of soccer to go around. It’s simple enough to sign up for the matches ahead of time, and there’s no risk in just showing up a few minutes before 6 ready to play.

Are Pickup Games Regularly Scheduled? What times and dates?

Yep! Urban Soccer 5 Center offers daily pickup games from 6pm to 11pm, and walk-ins are welcome. If the facility is open, there’ll be pickup games that day.

Does this facility run its own club or casual league? How does it work?

Urban Soccer 5 Center offers one of the most comprehensive club leagues in the Los Angeles area.

The leagues are all 5-a-side, with ten players maximum per team. It’s a flat $1,000 per team and per season to play, and each team is guaranteed 14 games per season. There is a playoff for each league and a championship final between the best teams.

If your team is looking for a longer-term commitment, consider the 2 seasons league for a flat fee of $1,700 per team of 10 players. There’s also a Platinum Option, which comes with many club perks: a personalized locker and uniform, free towel, and free cleanings. It’s not cheap ($500 per person per season), but it looks great.

For the more serious teams, there’s an option to pay $500 for a set of 10 personalized team jerseys. Necessary? No. Awesome? Yes.

2. Sofive Soccer Center South Gate

Goals Soccer Center has it all, and it’s worth the price tag. Enjoy multiple turf fields, an indoor restaurant/sports bar, and an excellent family atmosphere.

The sports store is pricey (of course), but that’s to be expected. It’s pretty clean given the foot traffic and the management offer everything you need. Field rentals, pick-up game support, and plenty of birthday party packages are all on the table!

What’s the Stance on Hosting Pickup Games (Adult or Youth)?

Goals Soccer Center has plenty of opportunities for pickup games. Whether it is adult, youth, or co-ed teams, they have you covered.

What’s It Cost to Attend a Pickup Game? Where Can I Find Booking Information?

Pickup games run a flat $5 (for youths). Not too shabby! After all, $5 for a 40-minute game doesn’t exactly break the bank. The fields are made of decent turf, and the cages around each field prevent balls from being kicked out of the facility.

Adults have to pony up $10 per pickup game, which immediately catapults Goal Soccer Center up there in terms of price. That said, daily pickup games make it a pretty reasonable option.

Renting a field for your own event or game, however, is where the cash starts to hurt. Field rentals run at least $90 an hour, so it’s not a very economical option unless you’ve got full teams to split the cost.

Are the games 5×5 or 7×7, or both?

Goals Soccer Center focuses mostly on 5×5 pickup games, but they will push it to 7×7 if there are enough players who want to stick together.

Are the Games Social or Competitive?

The games range from social to competitive, but they err on the side of social. Pickup games are usually fairly casual (lineups change, you never know who will be there, and so on). Goals Soccer Center does a great job of making sure you can get a game — either sign up online or pop in for a walk-in.

What Else (if anything) is Unique about these Pickup Games?

The netting over the fields and the new turf on three of the fields make the facility a real winner in terms of amenities. There’s no need to worry about losing balls with crazy plays. Aside from that, it’s just a good facility — clean, not too expensive, and plenty of pickup game support.

A unique element of the fields is that they all have a pretty fancy drainage system. That makes it possible to play in the rain, as there won’t be any puddles or mud to get you filthy. Of course, you’ll get wet, but that’s just part of the game!

Are Pickup Games Regularly Scheduled? What times and dates?

There are no regularly scheduled pickup games, but there’s nearly always games Saturday-Tuesday. For weekdays, look for games after 3pm (people are out of school and getting off work). The weekends are usually busy regardless of the time of day, so feel free to check out the facility whenever you want. The staff recommends coming as early as possible to ensure a field is open.

Does this facility run its own club or casual league? How does it work?

Indeed it does! Goals Soccer Center has league play for both youths and adults (male and female). All you need to do is register your team, pay the registration fee, and you’re good to go.

You can expect a free trial game, online match results, certified referees, and a guaranteed weekly game — no need to worry about whether you’re playing that week or not!

There are more leagues than you can shake a stick at:

  • Sunday Men’s 5v5
  • Tuesday Men’s 5v5
  • Tuesday Women’s 5v5
  • Wednesday U10

And plenty more! Check out Goal Soccer Center’s League page here for more information.

3. Bell Futsal Park

This outdoor futsal park is located in the city of Bell. It’s pretty great — owned and operated by the City, it offers free balls and equipment rentals.

Bleachers along the side make it easy to watch the games as well! There are no extraneous facilities (it’s literally a futsal field with lights), but the quality is there.

It’s an excellent option for anyone looking for a futsal field in the general Bell area. Bring your friends and set up your own pick-up games, though, because it’s quite difficult to get information from the city.

What’s the Stance on Hosting Pickup Games (Adult or Youth)?

There’s no official pickup game support. Feel free to show up and start a game yourself!

What’s It Cost to Attend a Pickup Game? Where Can I Find Booking Information?

The field is a free-to-use public facility. Booking information can be found here. You’ll need to select ‘View Facility Information’ and enter in ‘futsal’ to find the field and its three courts. Bear in mind that there is no online reservation service — you’ll need to contact the City of Bell and organize it with the city staff. The city recommends making reservations between 90 and 7 days in advance — no last-minute nonsense in Bell!

Are the games 5×5 or 7×7, or both?

Whatever you like. You’ll be organizing your own games, after all. The fields are more than capable of hosting 5×5, 7×7, or even 8×8 games if you’re willing to put that many players in at any given time.

Are the Games Social or Competitive?

The City of Bell Futsal Park is as social as they come. Organize and make your own games, or find locals at the park and see if there are any games on the horizon. If you’re looking for league play, look elsewhere — this is as casual at it comes.

Are Pickup Games Regularly Scheduled? What times and dates?

As of the time of this writing, there are no regularly scheduled pickup games. If you’re interested in setting up your own pickup games, contact the city reservation center at the link mentioned above and get yourself a guaranteed time slot.

Does this facility run its own club or casual league? How does it work?

Unfortunately, residents of the City of Bell are going to have to look elsewhere for club or league play.
