Welcome to the Sierra Sirens Underwater Hockey group, a new club in South Lake Tahoe, California! Here, you will find information about the sport and what to bring to practice. No experience necessary, so don't hesitate to try it out, and bring your friends too! About the Sport: This limited-contact sport typically involves 2 teams of 6, competing to move weighted puck across the bottom of a pool into the opposing team's goal. Wearing snorkeling gear, players submerge briefly to move the puck or support their team. The US has over 50 clubs that play and compete regularly. Underwater hockey promotes safe play focusing on coordination, puck handling, teamwork, and fitness. Just bring a suit and towel to the pool! If you have your own snorkeling gear and swim fins, that's a plus, however, we will provide everything if needed.
